Overview
The following table provides an overview of the states with initiatives for accessible electronic and information technology (E&IT). Included are laws, policies, standards or guidelines, and other resources related to website accessibility, application development, and IT procurement. Although the websites for all 50 states plus the District of Columbia were searched, only the sites that include information pertinent to the resource and core area are included in the table. Click on the item of interest to view a summary of the resource as well as the link to its state-based source.
Although this information is updated on a regular basis, the reader should understand that other online resources may exist, that information links change, and that state departments move and/or shift responsibility. If you know of an accessibility-related link that does not appear in the state's information, please e-mail us so that we can maintain accurate and usable information.
